The Soul Box is a location in NieR:Automata, available for access during the second half of the game. It is the second of three Resource Recovery Units the machine network sends 9S to, just so he could enter the Tower.
Location[]
The Soul Box appears in Route C past the Coast access point in the Flooded City. Only once the player gains control of 9S will the structure lower just enough for him to jump up to its door.

Notes[]
- The structure is noted to generate a lot of steam, slightly obscuring the surrounding area.
- Each floor is especially tailored to 9S's hacking abilities. The blocking devices found in each locked chest contain unusually intricate internals.
Trivia[]
- The letters above the door correspond with their English counterparts save for the letter X, as no equivalent exists in Angelic; its name is rendered hence as "Soul Bos" instead.
- 2B's appearance at the top of the structure will change if the Revealing Outfit is equipped on the player's current save.
