The main bridge, in the center of the plains.

The Northern Plains are huge fields to the north of Nier's Home Town. They lead to The Aerie and the Forest of Myth, by way of a bridge, and the Junk Heap by use of a destroyed modern-age rail bridge.

In the beginning of the game, there are rarely ever any shades in the area. Most of the enemies to fight are sheep and goats, and the occasional boar.

During the second half of the game, sheep have gone extinct and shades rule the area.
